Design has power, even if it’s smaller than we sometimes like to believe. So it’s worth asking: who gets to benefit from that power? Do you want to spend your career propping up companies you’d drag in a DM? Do you want to work somewhere that quietly signs off on harm because it’s profitable? Just because we can’t be perfect, doesn’t mean that our choices don’t matter, individually and collectively. The big question isn’t if design can change the world – it’s whether we’re paying attention to the world we’re helping to build through design.
